The audience couldn’t help but clap their hands with delight after each animal left the scene. Shadow puppetry at its best.” – Chelsey Stuyt, Bristol Theatre Review

Finger and Thumb Theatre presents

Shadowplay

Fingerandthumbswan

We are delighted that Finger and Thumb Theatre are returning again this year to present a fun-packed hand shadow show for the whole family!

Do you have a shadow? The answer is “YES” because everyone does! What can you make with your shadow? Can you make you? Can you make a worm – or a butterfly? Can you make a dog – with a tongue – chasing a cat – wearing a hat? Be inspired by Drew Colby to play with your shadow in this gentle journey through fabulous shadow lands made with amazing shadow hands.

Suitable for ages 3+ / family audience

“Drew Colby will tickle your giggle switch!” – Dulwich Picture Gallery

“In a word it was a delight.” – The Times of India

“I am in awe at how many different animals you conveyed. My son and I were both captivated.”
– Natalie Rope, parent

Following the performance, and included in the ticket price, Finger and Thumb will also be holding a hand shadow puppetry workshop for small hands and big hands after the show. We explore what shadows are, the kind of light source used, and the relationship between the hands, the light, and the screen where the shadow is cast.

16:30 – Shadow Play – 50 mins – Saturday 22nd July 2017 – Dartington Space Studio 1 – Adults £7 Children £5

Tickets must be booked in advance through the Dartington Box Office online or by calling 01803 847070
